AA2A Artist Residency at the University of Hertfordshire

I have started a residency at the School of Creative Arts at the University of Hertfordshire as part of the AA2A Programme. The scheme enables practicing artists to access university facilities to work on projects and interact with students. As a participant I have a full use of the library, computers and, obviously, :) the jewellery and other 3D workshops.

My main idea for the residency is to use the facilities otherwise inaccessible to me, like the jewellery kilns, a band saw and a laser cutter. I am also hoping to fabricate some larger pieces in metal. As usually, having ideas is not an issue. :) Turning them into completed projects is the real challenge. :)

So far, I have been making test pieces in enamel, cutting shapes from different materials and doing some larger-scale soldering.
